Summer time in Great Britain

OUR MAIN OBJECTIVES ARE THAT STUDENTS IMPROVE THEIR ENGLISH IN A SAFE AND FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT AND HAVE AN ENJOYABLE AND MEMORABLE VISIT TO ENGLAND

At our Residential Summer Schools, we concentrate on communication through ORAL AND LISTENING skills.

Students generally arrive with a rich background of grammar and vocabulary but lack conversational skills.

We encourage role play and debate so students learn to speak and use English to communicate in everyday situations. Lessons are usually 3 hours per day (Monday to Friday). 

We recommend a minimum of 3 weeks for students from the Far East to allow them time to get accustomed to the time and culture differences.

Excursions - each week there is one full day (and one half day excursion to a local place of interest. Destinations include cities such as London, Oxford etc. Optional excursions are available at a supplement.

Evening Entertainment - a full, varied and exciting evening entertainment programme runs every evening, designed to ensure students go to bed tired but happy at the end of each day!

Sports - include football, baseball, swimming, tennis, unihoc (indoor/outdoor hockey), cricket. Volleyball and other field/team games. Non-sporting activities include arts and crafts, video film making and treasure hunts. These activities form part of the daytime programme.

Certificates are awarded to each student who successfully completes the course - a valuable record of achievement reflecting the student's progress.

Foreign group leaders are vital in assisting us to supervise the groups and ensure students' welfare. This is particularly welcome on excursions and in the evenings. All leaders are encouraged to participate in activities as much as possible as this helps to motivate the students.

Making friends with students from other countries is an important part of the summer school experience.

Prices - All prices and programmes include the following:

Full board accommodation
Daily lesson programme - either morning or afternoon (15 hours per week)
Full participation in daily programme, leisure activities and excursions
Full and varied evening entertainment programme
All paid entrances according to programme chosen
Course materials and free loan of text books OR use of Workbooks (to retain)
Certificate presented on completion of course
